TRENTON, N.J. – June 14, 2017 – The New Jersey State Nurses Association (NJSNA) has been recognized for excellence in communications and honored with three awards by two industry organizations.

The Public Relations Society of America New Jersey Chapter honored the work of NJSNA and Creative Marketing Alliance (CMA), a full service, award-winning, strategic marketing and integrated communications firm in Princeton Junction, with the Gold Award for best Public Affairs campaign on June 14 at the Basking Ridge Country Club.

The partnership was also recognized by the New Jersey Ad Club, which gave the pair top honors in the media relations category and second place for NJSNA’s Facebook page.

“The staff at CMA has become an integral member of the NJSNA team, working hand-in-hand with our board and members,” said Judith Schmidt, NJSNA CEO. “They have helped us attract new members by increasing our visibility and promoting the work our members do on behalf of all nurses. CMA is constantly on the lookout for new opportunities for NJSNA.”

Since the organization began working with CMA, NJSNA experienced a 12-percent membership increase in 2016, increased visibility advocating for a gun violence study by the Centers for Disease Control, and secured six high-profile speaking engagements for its senior leadership.

“Last year, CMA put one of its clients in the news—on average—every 12 hours and in front of two million targeted individuals every day,” said Jeffrey Barnhart, CEO and president of CMA, which has been successfully delivering brand awareness and increased visibility for 30 years. “It has been a pleasure watching CMA help the nurses raise their visibility and showcase them as leaders in New Jersey health care.”
