ICN: Investment in Mental Health Nurses Can End Care Injustices

The International Council of Nurses (ICN) is using World Mental Health Day to call for extra investment in psychological services and the nurses who staff them to help end the injustices faced by people who need this help.

The group, which represents more than 130 national nurses’ associations around the world, warned that continuing stigma and discrimination surrounding the topic meant mental health services often ended up “underfunded and inaccessible to people who are in dire need.”
