ANA to Administration: Support, Protect Our Frontline Nurses
The American Nurses Association (ANA) continues to advocate for the Administration to support and protect nurses on the COVID-19 frontlines and the entire health care system during the pandemic emergency. The association is also representing nurses’ voices on innovations and emergency measures that should continue after the emergency is over. Click the links to read ANA’s recent letters.
- In a letter to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, ANA advocates for expanded telehealth and APRN waivers to be made permanent. However, ANA cautions that some other waivers should expire out of concern for RN staffing and patient quality.
- In a letter to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, ANA urges the agency to return to pre-pandemic standards and enforcement for personal protective equipment that health care workers need to stay safe.
