Singer from ‘The Voice’ Returns to Job as a N.J. Nurse
A former contestant on “The Voice” is putting her music career on hold and returning to her medical roots during the coronavirus pandemic.
Felicia Temple is back in New Jersey fighting on the frontlines as a nurse. But she’s still using music to lift her patients’ spirits.
Temple’s recording of “Rise Up” is played during every shift change at Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck.
“It’s actually been lifting people’s spirits so I’m glad that I can help in some musical capacity,” she said.
The singer has returned to her previous job as a nurse at Holy Name after leaving last year to pursue music full time.
The former contestant on “The Voice” was on tour in Europe when the pandemic forced the cancellation of concerts and she came back to her home in Teaneck.
