Nurse Killed in Crash to Receive Posthumous Degree

 In Nurses Weekly

Adriana Riano was only six credits away from a master’s degree. Just one more final to go, and she would achieve her nurse practitioner degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Riano, though, would never take that final. She was killed May 5 in a car crash in Jersey City. However, she will not be left out when the Fairleigh Dickinson graduates receive their diplomas next week. Riano, 32, and a lifelong North Bergen resident, will receive a posthumous degree and be recognized with a moment of silence during the commencement ceremony at MetLife Stadium.
