NJSNA Heard at Workforce Roundtable

 In Nurses Weekly

Mary Ellen Levine, NJSNA president-elect, met with Rep. Josh Gotthiemer at a roundtable hosted by IBEW in Paramus last week. She voiced concerns about the nursing shortage in New Jersey and advocated for nursing faculty support. Levine also vocalized her support for nursing workforce development programs, more familiarly known as Title VIII (Public Health Service Act [142 U.S.C. 296 et seq.]), which are the cornerstones of sustaining a robust nursing workforce, qualified to meet our nation’s increasing health care needs.
