It’s Time to get Involved! Consider running for an open board position for Region 1. All terms of office are two years (January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2025). All nominations are due on September 30, 2022.

2023 Call for Nominations
The NJSNA Region 1 Nominations Committee has called for member suggestions for the 2022 election. Nominations are due on September 30, 2022.
In November 2022, members will be elected for 2023:
Treasurer: Receive and have charge of all funds of the Region, deposit such funds in a bank designated by the Region 1 BOD and disburse as authorized by the President. Report the financial standing of the Region to the Region 1 BOD whenever requested to do so and make a full report to the Board at each annual meeting. Have all books of accounts reviewed at least annually by the President and President President-elect of the Region. Maintain Tax ID and facilitate tax filing for Region 1 account(s). Maintain all financial records for the Region.

Secretary: Keep the minutes of all meetings of the Region. Preserve all papers, letters, and transactions of the Region. Submit required documents to NJSNA headquarters as directed by the President
Vice President for Communication: Attend Region 1 Board meetings. Prepare a summary of Region activities for the New Jersey Nurse Region News column in collaboration with the President. Prepare and distribute press releases related to Region activity. Maintain ongoing communications as directed by the President and the Board of Directors. Submit a report to the Region at each annual meeting. Maintain NJSNA Region 41 internet presence on social media. Maintain the “ Notes on Nursing” Region 1 Newsletter.
Vice President for Education: Attend Region 1 Board meetings. Serve as chair of the Scholarship and Program Committees. Serve as Primary Nurse Planner and coordinate all Continuing Education Credit (Contact Hour). Hold at least a BSN or higher.
Warren County Coordinator: Represents their county on BOD. Officer networks in their county to learn of events, agencies and organizations that may benefit by nurses’ participation. Focus is to represent nurses, nursing and to help address the needs of the communities.
Passaic County Coordinator: Represents their county on BOD. Officer networks in their county to learn of events, agencies and organizations that may benefit by nurses’ participation. Focus is to represent nurses, and nursing and to help address the needs of the communities.
Nominations Committee: 2 Positions – Oversee nominations and election activities. The candidate with the highest votes will become chairperson in the second year of the term.
