New Initiative Supports Nurses Emotional Well-Being

 In Nurses Weekly

It is bittersweet to announce the sunsetting of New Jersey Nursing Initiative (NJNI) a program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RJWF) on February 14, 2022. Since 2009, NJNI has been a leader in nursing by supporting 61 nurses to seek advance degrees, grantmaking to support nursing curriculum redesign with a population health focus and most recently interventions that support the emotional well-being of nurses.

With that said, we are excited to announce the launch of the New Jersey Nursing Emotional Well-being Institute (NJ-NEW) funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and the Healthcare Foundation of NJ (HFNJ). NJ-NEW will continue the work spearheaded NJNI to support the emotional well-being of nurses in partnership with the NJ Collaborating Center for Nursing.

NJ-NEW will be led by Co-Directors Susan Salmond, EdD, RN, ANEF, Edna Cadmus PhD, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN and Assistant Director Jennifer Polakowski, MPA.
