Letter from the President
Welcome to the NJSNA Region 6!
Terri Ivory has been a nurse for over forty years, working in various supervisory and academic positions. Currently she is the Director of the Recovery and Monitoring Program for the Institute of Nursing in New Jersey.
Terri Ivory earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in 2006 from St Joseph’s College of Maine, Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix in 2011 and has worked toward a Doctorate Degree in Education. She has held a Certification in Mental Health Nursing for over eighteen years. She successfully completely the Minority Leadership Program at Rutgers University in 2004.
Terri was employee at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ for forty years. She previously served as Nursing Faculty at Ocean County College, Monmouth County Vocational School, and Adjunct Professor at New Jersey City University. She is devoted to the nursing profession and has taken that enthusiasm to assist other nurses and nursing students through their nursing journey.
She is member of the American Nurses Association, New Jersey State Nurses Association, and serves as President of Region 6 which covers Monmouth, Ocean, Atlantic , and Cape May Counties. Life time members of the National Black Nurses Association, and serves as the President of the Concerned Black Nurses of Central New Jersey.
Terri is a wonderful example and role model for the young women in her community. She exemplifies respect for family members, friends, and the community at large.
