Welcome to the NJSNA Region 6!
Hello and Welcome to Region 6
It is a privilege to serve as Region 6 President of the New Jersey State Nurses Association. I want to welcome you to our community. Whether you are a long-standing member, a new face joining us for the first time, or a guest exploring what our region has to offer, we are so glad you are here.
Region 6 is a diverse and engaged group of nurses committed to advancing our profession, supporting one another, and advocating for high-quality patient care. Our collective strength comes from our shared dedication to education, leadership, and the well-being of the communities we serve.
Our ongoing focus is to provide meaningful opportunities for connection, learning, and growth through collaboration, continuing education, mentorship, and community outreach. We strive to create a space where every nurse’s voice is heard, valued, and empowered to make a difference.
I encourage you to get involved—attend events, share your insights, mentor a colleague, and help shape the future of our region. Each of us plays an important role in strengthening nursing across New Jersey.
Thank you for your commitment to our profession and for being part of Region 6. I look forward to all we will accomplish together.

Continuing Education
Annual Region 6 Scholarship
Annually, Region 6 offers the Scholarship for Nursing Education in honor of Dr. Beulah Eglantine Miller. Scholarships are awarded to nursing students who are pursuing one of the following levels of nursing education:
- Entry-level
- RN to BSN
- MSN (advanced degree)
- Doctorate in Nursing
Up to 4 scholarships may be awarded per year. The recipient must be a member of Region 6 or if attending an entry-level nursing school, be a permanent resident of Region 6 (Atlantic, Cape May, Monmouth, and Ocean counties). The application deadline is October 15.
