“The Future of the Nurses Role in the Health Care System and Health Care Disparities”

The 2018 Professional Summit that takes place at the APA Hotel Woodbridge on October 11 will cover a host of topics including a Board of Nursing update, a panel of the top nursing leaders in the State of New Jersey as well as NJSNA’s Annual Business meeting in the morning. Nurses will have a chance to relax at our deluxe buffet lunch, listen to a presentation and visit the Healthy Nurse table. Our afternoon session will address women and health care disparities. This presentation will discuss the current state of affairs with regard to reproductive health care disparities and how we can achieve greater health equity. Participants will walk away understanding the big picture as well as practical tools and resources that they can integrate into their practice. The day will close with NJSNA President’s Champagne Reception. Join us as we toast Benjamin Evans, DD, DNP APN, for his leadership of the organization over the past two years.
The Institute for Nursing will be providing the contact hours for these programs. The Institute for Nursing is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

2018 Professional Summit Hotel Information
The 2018 Professional Summit will take place at the APA Hotel Woodbridge, located at 120 Wood Avenue South, Iselin, New Jersey 08830. The hotel can be reached at 855-680-3239. Our group code for reservations is: NJSNA/IFN and the registration cut-off date is September 10, 2018. The Guest Room Rate (Single-Quad Occupancy) is $137.00 per night.
APA Hotel Woodbridge does not guarantee any particular rooms nor does it guarantee that rooms will be in proximity of each other. Credit card will be needed to “hold” the reservation. Guest can switch out the form of payment upon check-in or before check out. Credit card for individual reservations are not charged until check-out.
Suggestion: Do not use debit cards upon check-in as Hotel takes an additional authorization on the credit card to cover incidentals/damages during the guest stay. The Hotel releases these funds upon check out but it is up to guests banking institute as to when the funds become available again usually 7-10 days. Use a credit card at check-in and then pay for the room at check-out.
